Lucky in Love GGG lift of "Lisa"

This is a lift of "Lisa" which i found very inspiring-loving the mixing of patterns, the funky title, the fun accents- I am always drawn to people who can mix like this but I can never seem to do it myself.. as you can see :). I was drawn to the entire composition of Lisa's layout but particularly inspired by the handcut flower with the word descriptions on it. I formed my "flower" by cutting words from the KI paper and piecing them, using the 7 gypsies rubs as the base. I kept the general composition of the layout , just translating it to 8.5x11, and extending my photo on the left hand side in place of Lisa's patterned paper. My four letter title mimics hers as well, except in my usual more uniform style. I did try to add a bit more playfulness in there however, adding some rubons and transposing her photo turns as well.
Journaling is printed on a transparency and contains random memories of my husband and i from early times to now. "From flannel shirts, toto boots, Tylenol in pockets, love notes with refrigerator magnets, living in trailers, red hair, green eyes, that silent stare, from finding each other across 3 states, to now. To love that has lasted 19 years, to soul mates, to growing up, to becoming parents, to all our life changes. Its still love. Deep true pure. Love with history, with meaning, with trials , with growth. Lucky" |
