This year's apple harvest has begun so I thought I should get around to scrapping a page about one of my favorite times of year. The irony is that I don't really like to eat apples half as much as I like to photograph them...
Supplies:
various patterned papers
chipboard swirls
cream and white paint
alphabet stickers
old typewriter or typewriter font
paper glaze (optional)
Directions:
1. Trim 1/2" off Free Spirit Passion (blue) paper, center it on the backside of the Wildheart bouquet paper (maroon) and adhere.
2. Trim Wildheart Dreamer paper (pink/green) to 11" x 11.5" and adhere 1/4" in from the right-hand side of the page, so that the blue paper below it shows on the left-hand side of the page.
3. Tear a small portion off of the left and top edges of the Free Spirit Antique (green) paper so that the final size is 10" x 11".
4. Trim the scallop off of one side of the white mini-scalloped Bazzill, dry brush with cream paint, sand with sandpaper when dry, and then adhere 3/4" in from the left-hand side.
5. Adhere the green paper 1" in from the left-hand side.
6. Tear ends of the scalloped strip so that the strip is even with the length of the green paper.
7. Print out photo and trim so that a portion of the white photo paper remains on all sides.
8. Adhere photo and add stitching rub-on.
9. Adhere a 9" x 5" section of the backside of the Free Spirit Harmony (red floral) paper.
10. Attach letter stickers and apply floral rub-ons over the letter "a."
11. Paint chipboard flourishes a mix of white/cream paint and allow to dry.
12. Adhere flourishes so that the ends overlap as shown.
13. Type out journaling on a solid piece of brown paper, then trim and tear journaling into strips and adhere to page to reform a paragraph.
14. Paint journaling strips and chipboard swirls with paper glaze for a slight sheen.
