Portrait Practice -- *New SEI*
By Anne Langpap

These new SEI papers are colorful and fun -- just how I like my papers. ;) Many of the designs are great for handcutting flowers for accents, too.

I think the journaling may be hard to read, but it basically says how Taylor has been practicing for her school portrait every time I take her picture lately. I'm not sure why she's practicing or what look she's going for, but she'll be ready when the time comes, lol.

Steps to make layout
1. Use 12X12 white cardstock as background.
2. Trim various SEI papers and adhere to cardstock, along with the photo, to make a "block" in the center of the page.
3. Use sewing maching to add a stitched border. I went around the page about 3 times using black thread.
4. Trim green SEI paper for title block. Use corner rounder on the corners and adhere to page.
5. Place SEI letter stickers on green piece for the title. Outline in black pen to make the letters stand out.
6. Finish title with chipboard letter stickers.
7. Handcut flowers from SEI paper with craft knife and adhere to page. I added some black dots with a black pen on a couple of the flowers.
8. Use sewing machine again to add a zig-zag border to the bottom of the green title block.
9. Create black journaling box with white text using computer software. I used Paint Shop Pro X to make a text box, printed it on white cardstock, trimmed the journaling into strips, and glued the strips to the page.
