Halloween Make & Take Layout: Cute? Um, yeah.
By Lisa Russo

I just can't resist buying cute holiday stuff for Ava. I never did this with Aidan. Hmmm...Must be a GIRL thing, right?

For this one, I decided to simply go with a BIG photo and let the new Doodlebug Halloween goodies do the rest. Again with the cute holiday stuff - see, I can't resist! The 'Whimsy Wafers' are really nice embellishments - smooth and shiny-ish on the top. With adhesive on the back. Gotta love that. LOVE the little frame with the dots.

Here's my simple how-to:

Products Used:

Doodlebug Halloween Papers (Kaleidoscope, Loopy and Paisley)
Doodlebug Halloween Whimsy Wafers
Doodlebug Halloween Striped Buttons
BasicGrey Rub-Ons
American Crafts Brads

Image 2: Gather halloween-y supplies!

Images 3 & 4: Trim and adhere big patterned paper square to the black cardstock background. Print text on white cardstock and adhere frame. To do this, measure the opening in the frame and create a text box just a titch smaller. Print, adhere frame and trim around the edge. Attach to page.

Image 5: Adhere other embellishments. I used various things from the 'Whimsy Wafers' set (oh, I replaced that button - forgot I had the striped buttons!)

Image 6: Repeat step 4 for the title, filling the text box with black and setting the text to white.

Image 7: Punch two half-circles on either side of the layout and back with some patterned paper (you could also just cut punched circles in half). Add a rub-on and some brads and you're done!
