Seasonal Project: iron-on transfers for t-shirts
By Jen Lessinger
I have a thing for skulls right now. Which is good, because until December, I am still a "boy only" mama. ;-) I let Noah design his own skull iron-on. I had no idea he would be so into it. He picked the skull, and the flames, and the colors, and the words. I had originally intended for this to be more "Halloweeny", since Noah is constantly picking out Halloween tshirts at the mall and has 2 old tshirts from last Halloween that he been wearing for the entire year. At least I won't get as many weird stares at the grocery store when he wears this one in July. He also had serious input into the t-shirt. The first shirt I brought home was not satisfactory, so he dug a plain grey one out of his closet. We are planning to do another t-shirt as well ... the design is done but I haven't ironed it onto the shirt yet.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Design your transfer with a digital kit. I used my Skull.DIGI.ry kit (I told you I'm obsessed with skulls right now!).
2. Follow the instructions on your transfer paper for printing. This was my first experiment with iron-ons for dark colored shirts, and I was suprised that I didn't have to reverse anything.
SUPPLIES: Skull.DIGI.ry digital kit from 2peas, 2peas Flame Me brushes, iron on transfer paper, t-shirt.
Thanks for looking!
PS: This pose is ALL Noah. I told you he loves his new shirt - and now he wants to put a skull on his new winter hat.
