American Crafts

By Tia Bennett

Felt. I love felt. I am addicted to felt. (Well, lots of other craft and scrapbook materials, too, but that's for another layout....LOL) I am excited that more felt products are being created and sold, and wanted to have fun with some of the latest! (ie: The American Crafts Felt Shapes and Alphabet Stickers, to say the least...) :D

SUPPLIES:

___cardstock background
___scrap of chenille fabric
___felt, fabric & yarn scraps, needles
___American Crafts felt, plastic, metal, and chipboard shapes and alphabets
___linen fabric printer sheets (for printing photo onto)
___pinking shears
___tag and journaling pen
___quick drying tacky fabric glue
___sewing machine, thread

STEPS:

1. Using your own design, create a collage of cut/pieced felt, fabric, metal, plastic, and chipboard shapes on top of your chenille fabric.

2. Print black and white photo onto linen fabric printer paper.

3. Trim photo and add to chenille collage. Glue everything down with dabs of fabric glue; let dry overnight.

4. Journal onto paper tag and add to chenille area with brad.

5. Stitch around perimeter of page with sewing machine/zig-zag stitch.
