Themed Projects : July, 1980

My kids probably think this is the way I really dressed when I was 7.
1. Trim blue polka doted paper into scallops. Cut the white cardstock.
2. Add a lot of water to the brown water color paint to dilute it. Paint around the edges of the scollops and the white cardstock with the diluted brown paint to age it.
3. Stitch the the blue scollops to the red cardstock with a variety of messy stitching.
4. Add the rub on to the top of the page
5. Twirl and fold ribbon and stich to the red cardstock around the white paper.
6. Glue dot the buttons down.
7. Use a straight edge to draw a line around the photo leaving room for bits of journaling.
TIP: I used the white Galaxy Marker by American Crafts to make small lines and dots around the edges of the photo to make it look aged. (I can't stand sandpaper - blech)
