This page was inspired by the American Eagle Outfitters website. I wanted something bright and colorful and decided on using a quote for the page because I hadn't done that in a while. The quote is by Hardy D. Jackson.
Steps to Make Layout
Before I started the layout, I created the photo in Paint Shop Pro. I actually used a photo of Taylor and a separate photo of the sky and put the two together. Using PSP, I traced the outline of Taylor's body using the Freehand Selection Tool set to Smart Edge. This allows you to trace the outline of an object and select it. Once I had Taylor selected, I copied and pasted her onto the photo of the sky. I then added some swirl brushes from Rhonna's Peapod kit in black and set the layer properties to Overlay.
The text was added with the text tool, making each line a different color. I then flattened the image, saved as a jpg and printed it on 8½ X 11 photo paper.
1. Use blue Scenic Route paper as the background.
2. Find various colors of paper to make your "rainbow". Cut a thin strip of each color and adhere to page.
3. Trim white cardstock, use a corner rounder on all 4 corners, and adhere to page.
4. Use corner rounder on all 4 corners of the photo and adhere to page.
5. Paint chipboard swirls with white paint and adhere to page.
6. Add AC letter stickers and Heidi Swapp chipboard stickers for the title.
7. Add black paper frills to the top and bottom of page.
