I tried a little hand journaling on this one ... it is something I find very intimidating. It is all about how Griffin and I are so similar ... can't tell he's my kid from the picture, can ya? Ha!
Supplies: Sassafrass Lass patterned paper, cream and black cardstock, red stitched gaffer tape, black number gaffer tape, twill, buttons, Thicker Stickers, sewing machine, pen.
Steps:
1. Trim the brown patterned paper and mat it on black cardstock. Stitch the edges with your sewing machine.
2. On your computer, create the large heart outlined in text. I used the heart path from my digital kit - Follow the Path (the paths are created for you so you just have to type your text and adjust your font, font size, font color, etc). Print the heart and cut it out.
3. Print a 2nd heart and cover the back side with red stitched gaffer tape. Flip it over and cut inside the words. This will give you a "mirror" of the heart, in a smaller size.
4. Layer the hearts on the layout. Add the twill tapes and black gaffer tape.
5. Add the photo and some buttons.
6. Stick on the title with Thicker Stickers.
7. Hand journal on the heart.
