I really enjoy paper piecing.

This card and the 2 variations of it are super easy to make.

My biggest tips for paper piecing:

 

1. Make a template of your design first!

It takes a little more time but saves you from waasting your precious papers!

 

2. Photocopy or trace or draw ideas from cataloges like: Pottery Barn Kids, your children's art work, children's  

books and clothes.  The simpler the shapes in the item - the easier it is to draw or cut out.

 

3. If you are drawing an image - turn it sideways or upside down.  This is to make you look at the lines 

and shapes more.  It forces you to draw what you see instead of what you think you see.

 

The basic template used for these 3 cards is a 4x4x2 triangle.

All 3 trees are easily drawn and constructed using this template.

And I KNOW you can draw a triangle!
