Newsletter Layouts : A Weekend With The Girls
By Shimelle Laine

I love paper with little extras, so the new Heidi Swapp papers are definitely cool.  Many of the new papers are partially die cut, so you can add some dimension to the page just by curling the cut-out design or leave it flat and tuck your photo underneath without ever having to pick up a craft knife.

The border sheets are packed with goodies -- a collection of strips designed to be cut apart and used on several layouts.  The pink strip with the white butterflies is just part of that sheet, and the border is embossed in white and the butterflies' wings are die cut so they lift off the page without being too fragile.  The border sheet also has a section of fully die-cut shapes, including the journaling block I used here, four of those white butterflies you see on the right (I sprayed mine with spray ink so the white would pop from the background) and a bird that I'm saving for another page.

The line also includes flat patterned papers like the green design, so you have coordinating background sheets too.  When I thought I was almost finished, I found the new Heidi alphabet stamps and just had to use them -- that's the font for 'getaway' in the top left corner.

Check out the Heidi Swapp papers here!
