This is the week.
Make that Christmas Craft you've been thinking about. It isn't too late!
Maybe it is a gift tag, maybe a card or a LO.
I was inspired by a cute wreath to make a LO out of it.
I might frame it and use it every Christmas.
I might make it into a 2 pager LO.
I'm not sure.
Right now it is lightly taped over a photo in a frame (sorry Alex) in my dinning room.
2 sheets of patterned paper
needle and thread
mini hole punch
To make this lo, first I drew a circle onto my cardstock in pencil
Then I layered leaves (with tape runner adhesive) that I had cut from patterned paper over the pencil lines.
I then went back and hand stitched a few leaves to form a top layer and to give the effect that this was mostly hand sewn together. (Which wouldn't work well in real life because it would create too many holes in the paper too close together and the LO would start to fall apart).
I drew a dove on old junk cardstock first, cut it out and then traced it onto the Doodlebug glitter paper. Then I cut it out, punched a small hole in the top of it and put skinny thread/twine through it to look like it was hanging in the wreath itself.
Finally, I tied the red ribbon and then glue dotted it into place.
(And I get this question a lot - the shelves are a set of 4 from Pottery barn a few years ago. And any photos you see on the shelves are either by Tara Whitney or me...if they are awesome, they are by Tara. If they are just ok - they are by me:)
