Digital Tutorial: Using Digital Frames on your photos (Photoshop)
By Rhonna Farrer
Using your Digital Frames:
1. Download your frames, unzip & save them in a folder you will remember. I.e. 2PS digital kits.
2. In your Editing Program (I’m using Photoshop CS2) go to FILE>OPEN> & locate your 2ps folder & the Snap Shot Elements Frames. Scroll down until you find Rhonna Farrer 2ps Photo Edge 4.
3. This frame is a 4x6 size, so if your photo is not 4x6, you will need to resize either the photo or the frame. (I’d suggest resizing your photo because chances are, you are sizing down; thus, not losing as much of the resolution. But, if you choose to resize the frame, you will most likely be sizing up & will lose a lot of resolution; thus, creating a blurry frame.)
4. To resize: simply go to your Crop Tool in your Tool box. (see image 2)
5. Look up on top & you will see the Menu Bar where you can type in your desired dimensions. Be sure to select 300 dpi so you will not lose any resolution. (see image 3)
6. Now, with your cursor, crop the area of the photo you want to save. It will highlight the area you’ve cropped. If you don’t like it, you can redo. Then, Photoshop will automatically crop your 4x6 picture into the area selected. (see image 4)
7. Now, you will just select your Move Tool & drag & drop your frame onto your photos. But, the frame we chose here, is vertical & our photo is horizontal. So, in your frame, simply go to IMAGE>ROTATE CANVAS>90CCW. This will rotate your frame & now you can take your Move Tool & drag your frame onto your photo.
8. You can follow these easy steps for any of the digital frames offered here at Two Peas In A Bucket.
Enjoy!
