Digital Challenges :Using Vintage Photos
By Sande Krieger
|This past summer, my aunt let me borrow her old photo albums. I have been scanning in all these great photos of my Grandad and Nana. They adored each other. This layout is a tribute to them, something I want my kids to know about them.
My challenge to you is to get out those old photo albums, dust them off and scan in one or two photos that have a strong memory attached to them. Then make a layout so that you can preserve that memory and pass it on.
Below is a list of all the kits I used and where I used them:
Pomp & Circumstance (coming out June 1st ): striped paper at top, bottom & sides
Snapshots: painted colored photo frame
Borderlines 4: black border around photo
Office Supply: tape on photo
Sketch Fettish: circle border at top & grunge border on sides
Altered Elements: staples & paper strips at bottom
Made in France: Ornate scroll brushes at the top and bottom
Nutcracker Sweet: heart
Roughed up Tool kit: distressing on all elements
Fonts: Tasklist & Hot Chocolate
