Welcome to the third Patterned Paper Every Which Way Class! It's going to be a fun year of using my favorite supply (and hopefully yours) , patterned paper!! This month we are going to put our scissors to work & handcut a few patterned paper embellishments.

March Class Description:
For the sake of class this month lets pretend your paper trimmer is broken....your punches, diecutting machines, templates....all broken. All you have to cut paper with is your good ol' trusty scissors. Sure, all those things I listed sometimes make scrapbooking a bit easier, but how many times have you spent at least 10 minutes looking for one of them? I'm not going to tell you how much time I spend looking for things. This month, lets let loose a little and cut by hand. Now, you might be thinking that you have to be able to draw complex shapes and paper piecing patterns, not true. If you can, good for you, go for it! But I'm just talking about basic and simple shapes. I think you'll be really surprised at how this will make your page 'yours'. A little more handmade, a little more character, a little more lovely.
Each month we will have a challenge associated with the class. This month your challenge is to create a layout/card/project on which you've used your scissors to hand cut embellishments out of patterned paper. They can be as simple or as complex as you like, just try something new!
To participate in the Challenge:
-Create a project on which you've used your scissors to hand cut the majority of the embellishments.
-Layout can Digital, Traditional or a Hybrid.
-Submit your layout by uploading to the gallery by April 9, 2010 11:59 CST. Don't forget to click the box next to this class (Patterned Paper Every Which Way: March 2010).
I will pick a winner randomly from all the submissions to win a Gift Certificate to Two Peas and post the winner on the Education Board on April 10th. For every submission to this class you will earn a badge!
Don't forget to stop by the Education Board
to chat and share links to your layouts.
