December Class Description:
Here we are, our 12th and final Patterned Paper Every Which Way. What a fun, and colorful, year it’s been! Thank you! To see past lessons visit here.
This month we are going to talk about...
Patterned Paper Titles.
Back when I first started scrapbooking about 10 years ago letter templates were all the rage. I still have all of mine ‘just in case’, but now we’ve moved on to digitally cutting our titles. Quite a bit faster! On my layout I turned the title into the embellishment by repeating it over and over. I cut the same phrase with my Silhouette out of eight different patterned papers. I adhered them on to the background so that they lit up the page.
- Another fun way to make your patterned paper title stand out, go big! Stretch it all the way across your page so that it acts as a border embellishment. Or let the title act as a sitting place for other embellishments, like a little owl or bird.
- Use pop dots to give your title an extra little pump up!
- Utilize the white space in an enlarged photo by filling it with a patterned paper title.
How to get a patterned paper title:
Freehand with Scissors
Reverse Print and Cut
Trace Stickers or Chipboard Letters
The great thing about using patterned paper for your titles….you can’t get to the end of the title and discover that you are an ‘e’ short. Just cut another one!
