Newsletter Layouts : Scenic Route Papers
By Tracy Miller

Longwood Gardens is a beautiful garden and estate house in Pennsylvania, about 1 hour away from us. We decided to visit in late May with my mom. John was really interested in this "century plant" which grows an enormous amount in a very short time (he is a greenhouse grower; he finds such things interesting, even if his wife doesn't). So we had to grab some (not very good) pictures of the plant. You can see it peeking out of the greenhouse roof in that first picture.

I started this layout with the product - I knew I needed to use Scenic Route papers. When I pulled this arrow one out of the pile, I immediately thought of these pictures, thinking the arrow would point to the not-obvious element in the first picture that I wanted to highlight. I ended up cutting the circles off of another sheet of paper because I thought they were appropriately weird and funky - like the plant. I also used a fun and funky thicker font for the title because it seemed to "fit."

Supplies:
Arrow and Circle kraft patterned paper
Foam stickers for title
Shaped rub ons
Rubber stamp for flourish
Black ink
