Be Inspired: Color Combos

Odds are you used the color wheel in school to create projects in art class, but when is the last time you used it for inspiration for one of your scrapbook layouts or cards? Turn to the color wheel to add an unexpected accent of color to your next project or to jumpstart your creative thought process. Who knew that red and green aren't only the colors of Christmas, but they're also complimentary colors as well?

Be Inspired: Paper Piecing

Two words that seem to scare many of us if you haven't tried it before - paper piecing. Be scared no longer and put your patterned paper stash to work for you! Use an image as a pattern and cut out pieces from patterned paper and cardstock to make the image yourself. Add some embellishments to finish it off - and voila! - paper piecing.

Making it Meaningful: Journaling

It's the most important component of every project. More than the product used or the photos displayed, it tells what really happened. Journaling gets to the heart of the matter in a hurry and is there to tell the story to anyone whose eyes passes over it. Years later, your memories might become a bit fuzzy but your journaling will never fail to remind you of what truly happened in that moment.
