You take a stamp, put some ink on it and away you go. Right? Well, possibly. Wether you're using acrylic or wood mount stamps or perhaps you're doing a bit of heat embossing, stamp allow you an endless amount of creative freedom. And the best part? You can use them over and over and over.

Ten years. A decade. And yes, we're still here and growing strong. So many things have inspired us in these 10 years. The community, the techniques and trends - the list goes on and on. Odds are you used the color wheel in school to create projects in art class, but when is the last time you used it for inspiration for one of your scrapbook layouts or cards? Turn to the color wheel to add an unexpected accent of color to your next project or to jumpstart your creative thought process. Who knew that red and green aren't only the colors of Christmas, but they're also complimentary colors as well?

Two words that seem to scare many of us if you haven't tried it before - paper piecing. Be scared no longer and put your patterned paper stash to work for you! Use an image as a pattern and cut out pieces from patterned paper and cardstock to make the image yourself. Add some embellishments to finish it off - and voila! - paper piecing.

We all have them. Your project isn't finished until you... Use your own handwriting to add journaling to your project. Break out your sewing machine. Include a bit of bling with rhinestones or glitter. Whatever it is, you include it on every project. Discover your signature style by simply flipping through a few completed pages.

It's true what they say - inspiration is everywhere! Skim through a magazine, do a double-take at that movie poster and think twice about that billboard. It's easy to be inspired by these designs. When you're stuck in a design rut be sure you give advertisements a thought. You're sure to be inspired by their use of color, composition or theme.

They show us how to look at a product a different way. They come up with a composition that is out of this world. They're able to mix colors and patterned papers like nobody you've seen. They fill the gallery with their eye candy for us all to enjoy. Take our lead by giving a second look to the community members that inspire us each and every day by sharing their work in the gallery.

It's called art for a reason. It's beautiful. It's thought provoking. It's a great jumping point when you're stuck creating a project of your own and are needing that extra bit of inspiration. The mix of colors, the unique compositions - we are truly inspired by art.

It's the most important component of every project. More than the product used or the photos displayed, it tells what really happened. Journaling gets to the heart of the matter in a hurry and is there to tell the story to anyone whose eyes passes over it. Years later, your memories might become a bit fuzzy but your journaling will never fail to remind you of what truly happened in that moment.
