1) When I use baby wipes to wipe stamps down, they get soapy. Do you use anything to wipe them between the wipe and the re-stamping with a different color?
I've noticed some baby wipes do this worse than others. I usually buy the cheap off-brand ones and always unscented. I don't wipe them off with anything in between color changes to dry them. IF they are super wet/soapy I let them sit a minute before stamping again but rarely do I do that.
2) You showed one time how you run an OA label sticker thru your printer but when you are adding printed journaling to a stamped image, do you do it one line at a time and just hold it up to the light with temporary adhesive? It is always so perfect!
I will do it one line at a time with lined journaling like this OR I will change the width of the spacing between lines to fit and run it through once. It just depends on how I can get it lined up. I am pretty particular (read anal retentive) with how it looks so if it takes running it through one line at a time I do it. LOL
3) What is that cute little font you use on your journaling?
The font I use most often is Typenoksidi. LOVE it!
This is incredible. I have several questions for you - I hope you read this. 1) When I use baby wipes to wipe stamps down, they get soapy. Do you use anything to wipe them between the wipe and the re-stamping with a different color? 2) You showed one time how you run an OA label sticker thru your printer but when you are adding printed journaling to a stamped image, do you do it one line at a time and just hold it up to the light with temporary adhesive? It is always so perfect! 3) What is that cute little font you use on your journaling? Thanks!!
Beautiful layout and thanks so much for sharing your talents and ideas with us!
Just love the pattern you created. Beautiful !
This page screams summer and friendship - it reminds me of growing up w/ my little brother as my pal. If I were holding your scrapbook and turned to this page it would be one of those where I gasp and say, "Pretty!" :)
Class Lesson - Scrapbook Stamping: July 2011
part of class Scrapbook Stamping with Nichol Magouirk

Galleries: Scrapbooking, Stamping
July's Scrapbook Stamping class features creating your own stamped backgrounds.
It is so easy to create your own custom, handmade stamped backgrounds. A few of my favorite ways to achieve this look are stamping the same image repeatedly (like Ali & Kelly did on their layouts), using a combination of stamps for a background (like my page for this month) and using background stamps (like Robyn did on her layout).
Check out this month's guest designer layouts for additional ideas on successfully coloring in stamped images. A special thanks to Ali Edwards, Kelly Marie Alvarez and Robyn Werlich for sharing their stamped layouts with us this month!
Click here [twopeasinabucket.com] for a PDF handout for this month's class.
CHALLENGE: Stamp your own custom background on your next layout. *Be sure your project is a scrapbook page as this is a layout class and please make sure to follow the challenge in order to be entered in the drawing for a Gift Certificate.*
I have included a sketch with the class lesson but it is not necessary to use the sketch for your submission.
Please upload your layout to the Two Peas Gallery by July 31st. Don't forget to check the box next to this class when you upload for a chance at winning a randomly selected gift certificate from Two Peas! I will post the winner on the Education Board on the 1st of the month.
