Galleries: Cardmaking

Do you ever feel like your receive an order of a lots of new items, but by the time you get around to using it all, it's not so "new" anymore?! I know I do!
That's why I LOVE making cards! Cards are a wonderful way to use product quickly even if you don't have a photo that goes with it, or just experiment with new stamps or mists :)
That's exactly what I did for these cards! The other awesome outcome is that now I also have several cards on hand for special occasions. Score!

Here are a few things about each card:

"CAKE"
After the pattern papers and cupcakes were in place, I felt like the card was still missing something. So I got out my black pen and freehand drew a simple line border around to "frame" the items. No ruler necessary :)

"ROLL ON"
I loved this bicycle stamp and knew exactly what I was going to do with it! I sprayed the background (white card) with Maya Road mist to give it a sunshine feel. The flag is just made out of scrap pattern paper, scrap cardstock and a pop dot! I love pop dots on cards!

"Just a Note"
A super simple card design. I also LOVE this stamp too from Hero! I chose to make the paper in the typewriter 3 dimensional by stamping the image once on yellow cardstock, and then cutting out just the paper, and then stamping the image on the blue and white pp and then placing the yellow over the striped with pop dots. The lines on the yellow paper were just drawn with pens.

"Old School"
I chose to "pop dot" a few of the cardstock stickers from October Afternoon to give the card dimension.

"867-5300"
I just *heart* all American Crafts 3 dimensional stickers! This telephone made me think immediately of that 80's song :) The American Craft Thickers fit perfectly for the numbers!

Challenge: Try one of the approaches I took in putting these together: drawing lines, misting, using up number stickers - you pick! Be sure to tell us what approach you took when uploading to the member gallery, and don't forget to check the challenge checkbox. You have a week to upload; a winner will be drawn an announced on the Education board on April 21st. Have fun!

Really enjoyed poring over your cute card set. I'm really inspired to make card sets for gifts after seeing the peas samples.
