We went to Disneyland the day after your third birthday with our good friends, the Taylors and the Morencys. Hundreds of kids waited in line to visit Mickey at his house in Toon Town but when you saw Mickey, it was magic. He hugged you, he placed his big sorcerer’s hat on your head and he spent several wonderful minutes with you. When we left, Mommy got emotional. Mickey didn’t know we were celebrating your birthday or preparing for your adoption. He had no way of knowing all the things you had been through. But what Mickey did know was that no kid deserved a magical moment more than you did that day! You are my heart.<br><br> |
