This is WONDERFUL! I love that you attacked a tough issue, made it shine, made me smile, and used "artifacts" that will be meaningful to you and your family in the future. You rock girlfriend!!!

You're right, the accordian book is not very visible -- hard to scan it. The text reads:

1. No need to taste the icky vegetables your brothers are gagging over.

2. Takes eating on-the-go to a new level.

3. Accurate dosing of bad tasting meds is easy, fast, and painless.

4. True multi-tasking: eat while you sleep.
5. Great for the control freak—absolute
control over nutrition and calories.

6. Never a slip betwixt hand and the lip -- saves on napkins and bibs.

7. Never troubled with unsightly spinach leaf caught in teeth.

8. Stay hydrated with ease, reduce hospital stays.
9. A nissen fundoplication means never having to say “Pardon me” for burping.

10. No dishes to wash!

Ok, so a feeding tube is not for everyone, but for our Daniel, it’s not life support, it’s not weird, and it’s not scary. It’s more . . . TUBULAR. Totally tubular.

Totally Tubular; or, How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the G-Tube (appologies to Dr. Strangelove.)

I've had this layout kicking around partially completed for a while now. Finished too late to include in the Weekly Challenges for “Top Ten Countdowns” – but that's what it is – the top ten things about having a feeding tube. I also accepted the challenge from a friend to use the ever-trendy {/} bracket thingies here. Numbers are QK Lucy. Tabs on before and after photos of my son are also QK. Clear plastic pocket housing the accordian booklet is a real Zevex pump feeding bag.
