Project - Themed Projects : Scrub A Dub by mary_mac posted 11/01/09 Galleries: Scrapbooking
I adore the new American Crafts Baby line, and I especially like the soft, sweet look of the Lullaby foam accents and Rockabye sticker letters. I used the sticker letters on this layout to create a frame (which doubles as my title) for the large photo of my mom giving my newborn daughter her first bath at home. The letters were super easy to position because I was able to move them around before they permanently adhered to the background. (I wouldn't recommend leaving them overnight and THEN trying to move them, however!)

I also used one of the Rockabye accent stickers: the little heart. I only have a blue set of foam shape stickers, and because the color didn't work on this layout, I covered the sticky side of the heart with pink flocking and attached it with glue dots to the foam duck. Voila! Pink heart accent!

For the "bubbles," I punched circles from vellum and coated them with glitter Stickles. The vellum tends to curl up, but once the Stickles are dry, you can (carefully!) use a ribbon iron to flatten them out.

I wanted to use one of the coordinating journaling stickers for my journaling, but I had more to say than I could fit on any of the stickers. Instead, I printed my journaling on a white block and used my Silhouette to cut a sweet scalloped frame.

Thanks so much for looking! :)

|
