I've never done a resolution page. It's a big commitment. I usually let the ideas roll around in my head before I abandon them around....oh, February or so. :) This year though, I've been thinking about a lot of little things I would like to do or to keep doing. Things that have the potential to make my life and my family's life better. So this page isn't exactly about resolutions. It's more about reminders. Reminders like striving to "parent with patience and gentleness," and taking care of myself by "getting more sleep."

One of the things that I would like to be more concious of this year is to "hand over the camera and be in more photos, especially with my children." I am a bit of a control freak about my camera, and I like to boss my husband around as soon as he even makes a move to touch any of the dials or buttons. He doesn't like that so much. But you know what? He actually does a pretty good job. Every one of the photos on this page was taken by my husband, and I am so very glad that I have them. Most of us have the problem of never being in any photos, and by neglecting ourselves, we cheat our families of the whole story, the true picture, know what I mean? This year, I'd like to be in the family story. I think you should too. So don't fret about your hair or your make-up, just hand over that camera! You'll be glad you did. :)

And back to the page....some bold colors and a collage of photos. I tried to keep this page less about coordinating with the photos and more about picking a collection of things that I like: stars (die-cut), typography (more diecutting), subtle stamping (see it there in the corner, behind the main photo?), dimension (love me some foam adhesive), a fun quote (perfect for this page theme). It's a great way to combine some embellishments that you like but haven't yet been able to put to use!

Thanks so much for looking! :)
