This is for lickeyan's (Ann's) Creating with the Unused Before Stamp Challenge for WW13. http://www.twopeasinabucket.com/userblogpost.asp?id=71518 [twopeasinabucket.com]
Ann, I'm grateful for this challenge. As soon as I saw it, I thought about the SU sets of stamps that I bought but don't use. I think I even searched for the Travel Sketchbook set on eBay; yet I never used it. I love the images in that set. Thank you, Ann, for this challenge.
4 1/4“ x 5 1/2”
Neenah Classic Crest Solar White (focal image and card base)
140-lb. hot-press watercolor paper (mat)
Stamp: From Stampin' Up's Travel Sketchbook Set
Ink: Adirondack Dye Ink–Denim (image); Distress Ink–Weathered Wood (shading around the focal image and around the card base
Spellbinder's Nestabilities–Small Labels (to cut the focal image and to mask the edges while I applied shading)
The mat is one of the samples for my Double Design Challenge. Essentially, I just used embossing paste with two different stencils. I paste embossed one layer at a time, letting the first layer dry, then paste embossed with the second stencil on top of the first layer. I painted this one with Golden Fluid Acrylic–Paynes Gray.
