Project - Chocolate covered strawberries by Neena*O posted 03/29/04 at 08:22 AM Galleries: Packaging <p>This is just a fun one about a yummy Valentine's surprise that we got at my mother- and father-in-law's place while visiting KC in February. (I love that photo I got of my sweet MIL just about to enjoy that strawberry!) Kind of a lot going here, I know. I wanted it to be rich and chocolaty but fun and whimsical too. I'm feeling like it ended up a just a little too busy. Ah well, it's scrapped. </p> <p>Journaling reads: Because we'd just had our final interview for the restaurant the day before, Mike and I spent Valentine's Day 2004 in Kansas City. That Friday afternoon, we were all headed out when Ken discovered two packages on the front doorstep - one for Marci, and one addressed to me. I was SO surprised. What was I doing receiving a package at their house?? I excitedly opened it to find a dozen of the biggest, freshest strawberries covered with all different kinds of chocolate and nuts. Wow!! From the card I learned they were a Valentine gift from my parents! Picked just the day before and overnighted to KC, this box of treats from Shari's Berries had come all the way from California. They tasted every bit as good as they looked, and then some. What a delicious & memorable Valentine surprise!!</p> <p>Letter stickers are Doodlebug, KI, and Marcella by Kay (from the bullseye); Doodlebug & KI PP, bazzil cs, MM ribbon.
