Project - Valentine's Theme | You and Me by Marcy Penner posted 02/01/13 Galleries: Scrapbooking For this theme I wanted to create a page that had a photo beside a red heart. That's all. To ensure that the heart stood out I decided to leave the rest of the page very monochromatic… with mostly creams and whites. I started by digging through my supplies and pulling out things that were cream, white or natural looking. This included papers, wood veneer, cuts from my cameo, tags, chipboard and so on. I started layering a rectangular base for my two elements - my photo and the heart. I layered them separately and then together on a larger paper. I traced a red heart using an old Heidi Swapp chipboard heart. I didn't want much else on that side, but decided to add two arrows. On the side with photo I layered quite a few embellishments. I wanted to balance the weight the red heart had, even though that was just one single element. I finished off the page by adding a little wood veneer couple and a chipboard heart to the top. |
