beautiful! you're one lucky girl!!
Thanks so much everyone! I love reading all of the comments. Yes, I do owe it all to my husband. Now, if I can just find the time to make some of the awesome pages that all of you have out there in pealand!
I love your space! I'm sure it makes it even more special that your family did all the work.

When I got my space my hubby was the same as yours (except he didn't do the work). I was just going to put in old furniture and he was insistant that I "do it right" and had custom cabinets made for me.

Project - Maureen's Scrapbook Room! by mmcallister posted 08/01/09 at 11:36 AM Galleries: Scraprooms Yeah! I'm so excited about my new, long, long awaited scrapbook room. We have a bonus room above our garage that was completely unfinished when we moved here. My wonderful husband did SO much work up there. I was just going to put used furniture and tables up there, but he convinced me to go ahead and put in cabinets. My Mom painted for me (I was pregnant and she refused to let me paint in that condition). My father in-law bought my upstairs AC. My Uncle built the custom-built cabinets. My cousin painted the cabinets. All the rest was my husband - lighting, floors, baseboards, etc. Pictures: 1-This is the only place that has a wall unit (most of the room is roofline, so the other walls are slanted). 2-8 are the inside cabinets and drawers for the 1st photo. 6-I love these mini-drawers. They are perfect for stampin' up sets so that you can see what all you have. 9-This is a longer section of cabinets with another workstation. 10-This is inside the two cabinet doors shown in 9. The top drawer is current SB projects, and the bottom two drawers are filled with gift bags, because this will also now be the room where gift-wrapping takes place. 11-This is another section of cabinets with another workstation. 12-This is my main workstation below the windows. 13-16 These are inside cabinets of 12. 17-18 These are different views of my awesome island (thanks to twopeas-Ashleyh for inspiration). 19-20 These are a couple of before shots. Thanks for looking! |
