This week's challenge is to journal about a photo from another decade. You gotta give me points for being brave enough to post this photo!

Journaling reads: “went to public school for the 1st time (Thomas Edison Middle School)

- had Mrs. Weinberger as a teacher, who we all thought was mean and scary (we heard the following summer she lost a ton of weight, dyed her hair red, and came back the sweetest teacher ever)

- was the only white girl in my class

- studied Spanish and was completely baffled

- wanted to be a girly-girl but could never quite pull it off

- developed a crush on Joey Kiley that lasted through college

- won a public speaking contest with a speech about gymnastics (lost in the next round to a girl who spoke about her immigration experience)”
Thanks to Moon Ko for the design inspiration from her layout that appeared in the latest issue of Simple!
