This is so beautiful. We are going through this now and doing our first and hopefully only IUI and you summed up my thought exactly.
AWWWWWWWW THAT BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES, IM TOO EMOTIONAL SORRY, IT WAS BEAUTIFUL
Love the layering on this and your journaling is wonderful.
Very Special.
How very touching...best of luck to you both as you continue your journey to become parents.
Beautiful. Just Beautiful.
I can't wait to see it re-posted with your little one's picture in the frame.

I hesitate posting this because I have a feeling it will make my mom upset when she sees it (don't worry mom, I was actually quite happy while making it), but wanted to share it with others in the same situation.
The letter is to my future child, the one Mark and I have been trying hard to conceive and haven't been successful with yet. It reads:

Dear Little One,
Here I am, about to embark on one of the most scary, anxious, and exciting times of my life thus far. This coming Tuesday, I’ll be having my first (and God-willing only) round of treatment that includes IUI – intrauterine insemination. You see, your Daddy and I have struggled for a long time to have you. We’ve gone through all the traditional routes without success so we met with some doctors who are going to do their best to help us be able to have you. But before we do this I want you to know something… right now, even before we have conceived you, we love you and we want you! Your Daddy and I have dreamed of you for years. We already have a name picked out, know which room will be yours and bought some fun clothes for you. We can’t wait until you finally come! Whether it be by conventional methods, aided by medicine or through adoption, we will love you just the same. So hurry quickly Little One because we’re ready for you!

I handcut the flower design from the blue and cream squiggle paper, inked them, extended the edges all the way to the end of the page and sewed them back down for added dimension. The silver frame has a sort of pillow pushing out of it, which is why the scan is so wonky. Oh, and I listed the specifics of my treatment on the 7gs prescription tag, which slides out from behind the letter. The style is very different from my norm but I like the results.
