I've had the idea to make something that looks a bit like a letterpress effect but using my embossing folders. I've done some calendar printables (and blogged about it possibly more than I needed to :))and finally managed to perfect the process. I print the calendar part two to an A4 sheet (although US letter size works perfectly well) then put the embossing folder over the top, above the month block. after embossing it I brayer chalk ink with light pressure over the embossing. I think it looks very nice. In the last shots you can see I got the embossing folder the wrong way round but went ahead and brayered over both sides so you can see the different effect. I love how it looks!
