I made this LO based on Portrait we had taken for our parents for XMAS. K&Co embossed cardstock, chipboard frames my own creation. Journaling reads as follows:
“October 16, 2004…we went to the Brandywine Battlefield State Park to have pictures taken of the grandchildren for Pop-Pop and Mom-mom's Christmas present. Everyone did a great job for the photographer and it was the first time we got to meet Hannah since they were in visting from Montana.
Just a little side note, this isn't just any old park. Chadds Ford, PA was the site of a very bloody battle during the Revolutionary War and the area is rich in history. Your Great-grandfather Weldon B. Heyburn drafted the legislation creating this park while he was a senator, giving many people the opportunity to learn about it. Mommy spent many days there as a young child. Your Pop-pop helped mow the grass, your grandmother helped in the office, and I even planted trees on Arbor Day. We'll have to stop again some day and take time to tour the buildings…the history is amazing”
