Gorgeous page, Jacynthe, and I so enjoyed reading your story with all its vivid details! Love your clusters of embellishments. You always seem to choose just the perfect accents for your pages! Great mix of papers for that old poto!
This Layout is lovely, the story is a great memory to include even if it is a little sad and also the colros and pappers you chose are wonderful!
Such a great story to document Jacynthe. I am sorry about your green pants. I once damaged a jacket I really liked at about the same age and felt terrible about it. Great design of the layout. I really like the white border, blue flower and leafy branch.
What a great story.
I really like the PP that you used. I also really like that flower.

THE STORY OF THE GREEN PANTS (Childhood Memories Challenge)
This month's challenge was about PUNISHMENTS. This subject was a little too close for comfort, so instead of focusing on punishment itself, I did a layout about how afraid I was of being punished. The translated journaling reads:
I understood at a young age that we were not rich. My father worked hard to support a wife and 4 children. So, when we got something new, we knew we had to take care of it. Hence the story of the green pants.
I was 9 or 10. My mom and I went to town shopping for new spring clothes. I had chosen a pretty pair of light green pants, and a sweater that went with them. I was so proud to wear my new outfit a school the next day. During our lunch break, we were outside playing and running when I tripped and fell. I had torn a hole in the knee of my new pants !!! I panicked. I started to cry. What would my father say? I asked one of the teachers if I could call home. When my mom answered I told her what had happened. I especially did not want her to tell my dad. I was afraid of what he might say, or do, once he saw my brand new pants already ripped.
My mom did not tell him. She patched the hole as best she could. I wore the pants many times afterwards but, the pride and joy of wearing something new were not there anymore.
