I absolutely love this card! And I want to touch the background, such great texture you were able to achieve! Love the sentiment and image you used. It works perfect, TFS :)
Love how this card came out!!
The background looks great. And the carolers are too cute. What a perfect image to go with the background.
This card really sings, Cindi!
This turned out wonderfully Cindi! How funny about the crayon, the watersoluble ones look just the same as the oil ones. Crayola would work just as well. Great texture and colours. Love the cute stamp you used. Thank you so much for doing my Texture It challenge!

I made this card for Anna Karin's Texture challenge using her dry embossed wax resist technique for the musical background. My first attempt failed when I tried a Neocolor II crayon. I think my ink was so wet, and the crayon watersoluble that I didn't get any resist. On this card I used a plain ole white crayola crayon over the musical staffs raised by the embossing folder. I put FiberScraps Ink Tintz on my craft mat and sopped up the ink with the embossed watercolor paper.
For the title piece I inked my stamp with versamark, then distress ink and sprinkled with clear embossing powder and heat embossed. The title was cut, embossed and stencilled with a nestability die.
The singing characters were a component I had ready to go on my embossing paste layered brick wall. When the wall went grunge, this piece was out of character. I think they fit this card just fine! They were colored with distress ink used as watercolor.

Thanks for the challenge and the great list of tutorials, Anna Karin, I need to go back and check out some more of them!
