JEN JUST WANTED TO LET YOU KNOW MY MICKEY IS ON MY SWEATER, EVERY ONE JUST LOVES IT, AS WITH THE 4 FACES, THANKS AGAIN SO MUCH
Hey GryeyedPea...I started researching it online. There are a ton of awesome sites that create jewelry. It is meant to be an idustrial look to a modern piece of jewelry, at least that is kinda how I understand it. I simply used watch parts from about 20 different watches. I gather them at flea markets and junk stores, open them up and remove all the parts. I know you can buy the stuff online too but I think the hunt for it is half the fun! Do some searching online and you will find that you probably have a great deal of gears and "stuff" around the house. I use DG3 art gel by Judikins to set my stuff in. It rarely if ever bubbles like most! Hope this helps!
How did you get started with Steampunk Art? And where do you get supplies? You have me intrigued......
OMG! These are so great. Even my husband said how cute they were when he saw it on the gallery. I have never heard of Steampunk Art. Whatever it is, these are cute. Keep your imagination going.......

Modern Mickey is my attempt at Steampunk Art. It has made a huge comeback lately and is seen as a modern art form. I used vintage coat buttons, antique typewriter keys, and an assortment of watch parts. I put a pin back on that can easily be hung by a chain as well. The parts are set in a gel medium! Hope you like!
