Project - Handsome Mark by kellicrowe posted 05/26/10 Galleries: Scrapbooking My son has this little mole on his left side, right above his mouth. <br>We've always called it a handsome mark just because I know someday someone will call it a “beauty mark.” <br>And, you know, because he is handsome.<br>I had the idea of journaling on the left and right of the photo to emphasize the left and right issues involved in the beauty vs. handsome mark. But it is hard to read text on the left and right of a photo. Your eyes, ok, well - my eyes, don't jump over the photo very well t keep reading. So I did more of a top right to a bottom left sorta thing. Still, not optimal for reading, but worked better. <br>I cut the journaling strips in white first and placed them where I wanted them to go. Then I cut strips of patterned papers and cut them to be almost the same length. I pieced the strips of papers together and used mini glue dots to hold them in place.<br> Thanks for looking!<br>Kelli |
