Project - Themed Layout: courage.

I really love grid paper, lately. It is another obsession of mine. So decided to make some of my own and tailor it to what I needed! It was pretty easy to to in Photoshop, and, really, you could even (with patience) ;) do it in Word, if you needed to! :) Also, I have printed a transparency overlay, a kraft sticker, and a swirl to use as a template for stitching! WHEW! lol a lot of hybrid techniques all at once….but there are just so many fun ways to merge the use of computers and paper scrapbooking!!

1. Print: a grid pattern onto cardstock, a sketchy hearts frame onto a transparency, a rhonna swirl onto plain white printer paper, and a kraft label sticker onto plain paper or sticker paper.

2. Lay printed template of swirl over grid paper and position in place with dabs of removeable adhesive. With a paper piercer or unthreaded sewing machine, poke holes along the swirl lines. Remove template and handstitch with embroidery floss.

3. Cut scallops off of the bazzill paper and create a rectangle frame around stitching on page.

4. Run a generous line of chalk around inside of scallop frame, then with your fingers, rub and blend the chalk into the background paper.

5. Adhere transparency hearts frame over photo and attach to page. Using both white and pink paint, paint inside of the two larger hearts. Also, paint a loose arc over the top of the circle frame (right over picture and transparency.)

6. Add label and journaling, and chipboard title.
