I was inspired by some stacked text I saw in a magazine ad, and decided to play with the idea a little in Photoshop. I applied a photo to the text as a Clipping Mask; the resulting effect is a lot of fun, I think!

<p style=“margin-left: 40px;”>To do this in Photoshop CS, first type out the text block on a blank page.

<p style=“margin-left: 40px;”>Then, open a photo and copy it to a new layer above the text.

<p style=“margin-left: 40px;”>While in the new photo layer, type Ctrl+Alt+G (Or, find it in LAYER > CREATE CLIPPING MASK).

<p style=“margin-left: 40px;”>Move your photo around until is is situated to your liking, then finalize the effect by Rasterizing the text and Merging the two layers.

<p style=“margin-left: 40px;”>Print on glossy photo paper for a crisp finish.

I also added some Photoshop Shapes (the pointer hands) before merging the layers together.

Photo paper is stitched to page with crewel wool embroidery thread.
