I really love your take on things Kelly. How you turned a not great situation into one of such valuable lessons. Really beautiful. TFS!

Project - Thank You **Scrapbook Survivor** by jacksonsmama posted 03/16/06 at 07:38 AM Galleries: Scrapbooking #43, Kelly Noel This one was HARD for me… I don't know my Dad very well at all and he has been in and out of my life since I was 3, so I decided to scrap it for the challenge. Journaling reads: You might think you aren’t deserving of any thanks, seeing as after Mom left you, you were sporadic in my life, at best. But, after all these years, I like to see if differently. After missed birthdays and Christmases, nobody to take me to the Daddy/Daughter dances, watching Mom work her butt off just so I could have the things I needed, spending evenings at Grandma’s house while Mom went to school to make a better life for us and feeling unloved because you never called or wrote…I am finally at a point in my life where I can thank you for a few things. Thank you for letting me see the strength that a woman (Mom) can have when all odds are stacked against her. Thank you for helping me to find the perfect husband, someone who values family and commitment as much as I do. And most of all, thank you for helping me to love my child even more and to hug and kiss him and tell him everyday so that he knows just how much I love him. TFL! Kelly :) |
