Galleries: Scrapbooking

Our challenge at Scrap Yourself [] was “home reflections.” I'd been wanting to make a page about my scrap space for a long time, and this was the perfect opportunity. I used some Studio Calico kits to make this (Marketplace and Yearbook).

Hidden journaling reads: Come into my scrap room. Here is what you will find: Bright red walls, so unconventional and so energizing. A comfy chair where I can sit for hours and hours on a Saturday while Farzad's working and scrap away all day. A crowded little spot that gets very messy when I am creating my pages. A room that's open because Gram gave each of us some money a few years ago, and I used mine to knock down a wall and finish the basement to have a place where I can be in my own little world and also be with Farzad. A room that's right near my computer, which is important because I use it a lot when I'm scrapping and also because it has my music collection so I can rock out when I'm working. A place where I have lots and lots of colorful, pretty things that make me giddy. A sewing machine that gives my pages a homespun feel. An organized spot where I can find every little thing I need for my pages. It's a well-ordered place because I love categorizing and alphabetizing and ROYGBIV-ing. It's the Virgo in me. It's a place where I can hide away and pretend I'm an artist. It's a place that makes me very, very happy.
