What wonderful journaling! I love that you used an old photo of you in front of your home...it's perfect!
fabulous! love that you kept the pics the focus, and super cute "home" title! <img border='0' src='/graphics/mbicons/smilies_v2/smile.gif'>
I LOVE this.
I love your layout. I love that you've documented your story with words and pictures...it's very compelling. The design is super cute, too. Great job!

So, this was a special challenge this week… create a heritage layout about home. What is home to me? For whatever reason, what always comes to mind is the home my parents still live in and where I grew up… from age 5 until 18 when I went away to college. But, to me, it's still home! And, to showcase it… a photo from 1959 shortly after we moved in (yes, that's little me… would ya look at that pixie cut… yikes!) and a photo from last year at Thanksgiving… not too much has changed. Yep… it's pretty much still, well, home.
Home since March 1959 when I was almost five and we moved from Minnesota to Southern California. The home I grew up in. (Yes, that’s me sitting on the front lawn shortly after we moved in!) The home my parents still own and still live in. The home I still call, well, home. Now, remember… I haven’t lived here since I moved into the DDD house at UCLA in 1973, but I still call it home. And, most of the time when I dream at night that I’m “home”, I’m at this house. Not the house I currently live in… this house. Even if I have my kids in the dream, I’m here. This house. I’m sure there’s some deep psychological meaning to it… maybe because my parents still live there? Maybe because I was happy here. This is where I felt safe and where I felt very, very loved. Who knows? But, to me… this IS home. (Photos 1959, 2008)
