I've been in a major card funk for a while and haven't really made anything I liked. Our receptionist wanted a birthday card for a friend who was turning 50 on Mardi Gras day. She's also from New Orleans. I misunderstood and thought she wanted it today, but she wanted it last week. She said it was cool, last week was the party, but now she'd have a card to give her on her actual birthday. So since I goofed up the day, I really wanted to do a good job.

The paper is some stuff I've had for about 5 years. It's originally white, I made it purple with an ink pad. I cut out the lady from some vintage images. The mask is clipart. I glued it all down and mod podged it. Glued the little clock face on and finally was able to use that ribbon with the balls that a friend gave me. I added some gold embossed swirls, too.
