There is no doubt in my mind that if we were stranded in the woods for the rest of our lives, we would survive. It seems that you know exactly what tool you need for every conceivable occasion. Actually, I take that back, you have about three of the same tool for every conceivable occasion! When camping with friends, you are the one that quickly runs to you big box of camping stuff when someone else forgets an item or two. I swear, who could go camping without you?
I know that you have to be a great fisherman. You have the little boat with the two-horse motor, five different fishing rods, a ten-pound tackle box and of course, an electronic fish finder. And when we are out on the boat, you always have a wonderful fish story for me to hear. You always manage to tell me how the fish would not stop biting and boy you were full after the fish-fry. But I manage to snicker at you because it has been rare that you out-fish me. However, you never fail to remind me that it was you that tied the hook and prepped the fishing rod.
The cool evenings give way to wonderful campfires that burns bright and warms from head to toe. It is relaxing and happy, as we recall the days events and all of the fun we had. But we don't talk about the next day. After all, your idea of camping has nothing to do with schedules.
I have to admit, I think your love of the outdoors is inspiring. Your camping skills impressive. But the thing that I am most in awe of, is teaching me, a city gal how to fall in love with the great outdoors. I think that is what being the greatest outdoors man is all about.
