Project - Themed Projects : blah, blah, blah by RebeccaLeighann posted 05/15/09 Galleries: Scrapbooking
I just KNEW I was so going to enjoy using the Just Chillin' Slice card!!!

I love that word - "blah!" Check out how nice it cuts from textured cardstock (image 4), and also from smooth cardstock (image 3).

Using the Just Chillin' slice card, I also cut the cute girl, and the butterfly (LOVE those!). For those two diecuts, I decided to add some extra texture to them by coating them with Versamark, then embossing them in clear Zing powder. After the clear embossing was dry, I re-coated them with Versamark, and then sprinkled on some Doodlebug sugar coating glitter, and heat embossed it again. The clear embossing re-melts allowing the glitter to set. Cool new technique for me... as I've never done that before! :)

For a bit more dimension, I added pop dots under the butterfly, hand drew the antennas, and added rhinestones for the tops.

Pre-cut die cuts are also super fun to use - and EASY! I used the Jillibean Soup Kraft diecut to journal on, and put some pop dots under it to add dimension. I also used the pretty floral die cut from My Minds Eye to highlight my journaling diecut.

Super fun with Diecuts!!!

Thanks for looking!
~Rebecca
|
