The cabinets I had custom built. Fortunately our cabinet man has a daughter that also scrapbooks so he "got it" and actually helped me come up with ideas.

The counter tops are formica but they look like stone. I wanted something that would hide things like ink stains, etc.

I just got the studio of my dreams!! We recently added a new master-suite, laundry room, powder room and 2 car garage to our house. I got the entire upper level over the garage and master suite as my studio. It is 12'x48'. I have it divided into 3 sections. On one end is a living/sitting room w/all my sappy girly movies. In the middle is a wall of windows w/a long window bench seat (I still need to make cushions and pillows for the bench seat and window treatments)and a 1/2 bath. Then the other end is my actual “workspace” which is wall to wall counter space w/ custom cabinets and an island in the middle (I am lucky our cabinet maker's daughter is a scrapbooker so he understands the hobby and was quite helpful in making suggestions to increase functionality of the space). One side of my workspace is my sewing area, the other my scrap area and then I have a small desk area at the end. I also have a large walk in closet where I store most all of my supplies (I work best when my space is clutter free, just a tad OCD). I am still organizing so once I complete that I will send more details on my organization.
