by dawn_bibbs posted 02/17/08 at 04:27 PM FINALLY...I have my very own scrapbook/craft studio. And I LOVE it!!! SO many of you here on 2Peas have been an inspiration in completing this room. The main reason I love it so much is because, with the exception of my computer/printer hook up and one shelf that's on the wall, I did it ALL MYSELF!!! Here's some photo details: #1 & 2 The name sign on the door to the room. My friend did the embroidery for me, #3 The room before & after while standing at the room entrance, #4 The room before & after while standing by the window, #5 My desk chair before, #6 &7 My desk chair after (front & back), #8 My super cute "nostaligic" phone (from Target), #9 Another shot of the room from the entrance, #10 Upclose of the lampshade I covered, #11 The "Prepare to be inspired" wall, #12 Bathroom room door ("Bathroom" sign from Hobby Lobby) and entrance, #13 My "logo" wall BE INSPIRED, #14 Framed remnants of all the room fabrics and a painted "D", #15 Sewing machine cover I made from room fabrics and "homemade" pin cushion, #16 My Heidi Swapp "Family moments" clock, #17 Closet storage & #18 Family photo collage at room entrance. I simply too the seat apart and covered the existing mesh seat with batting and a folded piece of fabric for extra strength. I adhered the batting and fabric to the chair with hot glue then replaced the seat frame. The chair back is simply a length of fabric draped over. I sewed the sides, adding grossgrain ribbon and snipped the top to add the curve of the chair top. This cover will easily slip off for cleaning.
