I loved doing this technique for SOF12 Let It Snow. I patted my Versa Mark ink pad all over white cs. I then lightly sprinkled Pearl UT over the card and heated it underneath the card so that the UT would not blow off. I sponged blue and lavender dye ink over the UT and wiped off the ink with a paper towel.
