Ribbit...How FUN!! So many terrific elements on this medal! A real charm!

Fantastic and fun. It is very classically "medal" shaped, but the fun images and that polka dot ribbon are so playful! Order of the Amphibians? So funny! Great medal!

Galleries: Stamping

I had a ball making this for my buddy PUG (leighAnn) as part of the Send You Swap/Challenge! And she blessed me with great pix so I could share it with you!

Since I've done numerous posts on many of the techniques/materials I used, I'm not going into great detail here about all of the ones I employed in making this piece.

The primary materials used: craftfoam, grosgrain ribbon & chenille stem. Some additional materials include brads, adhesive paper, tape.

Ribbon: I backed the ribbon (Offray) with adhesive paper & used an embossing folder to dry-emboss. I backed it with another layer of ribbon (tape-attached) so the ‘works’ didn't show.

Jewelry ‘findings’: I used a heat tool to melt the fibre & turned the stem into a ‘jump ring’ & hanger using wire-nippers & pliers.

Craftfoam pieces:
Hanging medal (I Brake For Stamps) was stamped on yellow foam with StazOn (black); cut out; heat shrunk; marker-colored. I reheated the colored foam & textured with a stamp.

Top Bar: I used a snowflake punch (McGill) to make a ‘nibbled’ piece. Heat-shrunk & texture/pattern added with a stamp.

Dragonfly: Stamped the DF (IBFS) on green foam; cut out; heat-shrunk & stamp-textured. Attached with a brad.

Holder: A piece of CS. I stamped & wrote the words.

What you don't see… On the backside of the medal is a piece of CF that lets Pug slip it over a button to wear.
