I love these! Great job melroseV!

A BIG HUGE thank you to all of you for the compliments! I'm blushing over here!

I used a very scientific technique to hang these up---slapped a small nail in the wall and smashed the styrofoam squares over and then wiggled them "straight"....LOL

Mine are very light so I'm sure those 3M wall-friendly dealies would totally work. HTH!

Again, thank you to all!

What a fabulous idea! I've been looking for something to do above our bed and was just going to paint some squares as I don't want to hand anything glass/framed in case it falls. This is an absolute must! Love, love love it!

I love this idea, my daughter is leaving for college next month and this would be great for her dorm room. Thanks for sharing I can't wait to show her what you did. How did you hang them? I'm thinking maybe she can use the 3m poster tape because they are not very heavy??

WOWZA! We are renting a house with a huge foyer and I wanted to put something there, but not spend a lot of money considering it might not fit the next house soooooooo this could be the PERFECT solution. I'll definitely be looking into this! thanks for sharing!!!!!!! -Kelly

OMG... that totally rocks! I'm redecorating my living room now, so this project is a must!!!!!!!!!! TFS

That is very cool - nice work!

Oh I have to add that you MUST submit this to the Basic Grey gallery. They'll choose yours for sure. Just go to their website.

how cleaver are you????? You could even change it up to a different paper for the different seasons and/or holidays...even do different sizes or shapes. Way cool!!!! TFS!!

Those look fantastic! A couple of years ago I framed a piece of SB paper that I loved too much to use in a LO and I get tons of comments on it. People can't believe it is a .79 piece of paper!

I L.O.V.E.D. this soooo much that I lifted it
The only thing I change was the styrofoam. I used mounted canvas. No patience here!

Really gorgeous, perfect artwork!
I'd love to have these on my walls!

That looks great! I love your idea!!!!

I've been wanting to do this for a long time now. I saw an advertisement for 3M Styrofoam 12x12 squares that featured a project like this.

thank you to all...glad to share something i enjoyed doing. i hope you'll all share your finished wall art. i'd love to see it!

I was just searching the gallery for ideas for my walls and LO AND BEHOLD! Here it is! You have inspired me! I LOVE THIS! Ive seen them done with canvases before but the cost of that has deterred me. Ive also seen them framed...but again cost...this looks awesome! I could totally use this in other areas of my house as well. TFS! Into my BOS and "to do" list!

This is a great idea. Motifica is one of the reasons I started scrapping... but it is one of those papers too pretty to use. I bet I still have a couple of each piece, lol.

That is awesome !!

I went straight to my local scrapbook store and scraplifted your idea. I am using some Bohemia paper in blues and browns. I also bought a cardboard letter and am covering the letter with some coordinating paper. I am excited, but I'm not sure mine will look as good as yours. I've thought about filing the edges of the paper down a little to make a rough look....but your looks perfect the way it is!!!

STUNNING. i just love it. i thought about framing some paper, but it didn't feel quite right . . .THIS is the perfect idea!

Genius! I used this very line for my Italy album...LOVE that paper! Now I have to find a spare wall to do this one.

Wow! I'm totally going to do that!!! Great idea!
Oh this is amazing!!! I love what you did here and yes, these are some of my fav BG papers from baaaaack in the day. lol
Love this. The thought of cutting that polystyrene makes me hesitate but I think this is going on the to do list! Thanks so much for sharing!

nic

Wow, great idea!!

I looked at this and thought "neat and cheap, but you still have to buy the canvases!" Styrofoam?! Thats in my budget! Totally cool, I'm bosing this, thanks for sharing!

so totally gorgeous!

Your arrangement is quite nice too. I like that the two middle ones are the same in colors but one is printed and one is plain. Nice.

Oh this is so perfect! WONDERFUL papers for such a project!

There are a couple of papers I can't bear to cover up with anything. Now I kow what to do. Thanks so much.

Wow! So gorgeous and yet so simple. I think many of us may be lifting this.
TFS!

jluebowman

Did you apply anything to the top of the paper?

nope, that is what the basic grey paper looks like. distressed and beat up. just how i like it!

have fun with your project!

Did you apply anything to the top of the paper? The paper looks like it is cut or scraped...is that just the way it was designed or did you do something to it? This is so cool. I want to make it tonight.

I would never have thought of styrofoam. It looks great.

I simply love this idea! It could be so cute for a baby's room, or a kid's room, or a kitchen, or... okay, it could be adapted ANYWHERE. BOSing this one!

the styrofoam was NOT easy to cut....i finally involved my dh and he had a very slim knife that ended up working the best. i tried several kitchen knives and ended up with a snow storm of small styrofoam balls all over!

thanks again for the compliments!

This is such an awesome idea!

Great work, Love it!!

Great idea

Looks great! Some papers are just too nice to cut or cover up.

Awesome!!! And it was exactly what I was looking for my walls!!! Thought on using BG papers but on frames, but didn't like the idea...Sure I'll do it at home!!! Congratulations!

The Hambly blog did this and used ribbon instead of cardstock. Remember the BG amaryllis and the Black Tie flower? my dh said "Don't use those, frame them." TFS

how creative is that - and how fabulous it looks !! Love the idea!

i used very little adhesive on this....glue dots: thick ones and lines.

it was so fast & easy to do.
