1 - Just a quick break to show the room before all the renovations were made. Pretty room, but in desperate need of sunlight and storage. I made it a point not to move a single scrap item in there until it was ready. I scrapped in a spare closet in the meantime. This is the only room in the house that is "complete," the rest of the house still needs some work. Which will likely never get done now that this room is set up!
2 - A close up of my Sizzix/Sizzlets storage in baseball card sheets.
3 - Time for the lower cabinets and drawers! Embellishment storage - I have specialty buttons, specialty brads and miscellanous embellies in plastic containers in the shallow drawers of the lower cabinets (ie, the top drawers). I found these containers at Container Supply online. The more you order, the cheaper they are. Their height is perfect for these drawers - I actually discovered them about 6 years ago when I ordered them for the 3-drawer Sterilite units. They fit perfectly in those as well!
4 - All my odds-n-ends embellishments (wood pieces, pins, metal pieces) are in the bottom drawers of my cabinet units. I have 2 of these drawers. The Sterilite drawers (when removed from their frame) fit perfect onto the drawer sides and stack! It's given me several layers of storage in one drawer unit. I also use clear pencil boxes from Target, they've worked great when stacked on end.
5 - This is how I store all my brads and eyelets. I sort them by shape first (round, square, star, heart, etc) into multi-compartment boxes from the Container Store, and then by color inside those boxes. I can keep adding on as many boxes as I need, or downsize accordingly (there are about 5-10 different sizes of boxes, from 1-48 compartments. They're pricier than the ones you get from the hardware store, but the compartments are non-adjustable - which means no slipping of the dividers, allowing brad or eyelet colors to mix. I know, wouldn't that just be a horror?? (And yes, I'm kidding).
6 - A close-up of the bins. They make it a snap to find what I'm looking for. I just pick out what I need with craft tweezers - no spillage at all.
7 - This is a close up of one of the embellishment jars. Plastic container with plastic top. I think they run about $0.33 each when you buy 50 of them. I haven't bought them in a while tho, so prices might have changed.
8 - Storage for my boxed flowers (like Petaloo) and my floral centers. The bin holds all my Dew Drops, and the jar holds my Prima chipboard centers. I supposed I could stick the Petaloo with the rest of the flowers in jars, but I tend to use these the most out of all the flowers and want quick access since I know exactly what I have.
9 - My punch storage. I can layer them 3 rows deep with the use of Sterilite drawers in a deep cabinet drawer unit. The drawers are numbered and correspond to my inventory notebook, where I have punch examples and the corresponding bin number for that punch. I only go in there to get one specific punch, not sort through them, so it's worked well.
10 - The widest drawer in my room is used for adhesive storage. I have a few specialty tapes but pretty much rely on my ATG for most projects. Nothing gets buried in here, so I can see easily what I'm running low on.
11 - In the cabinet under my adhesives is all the rest of my ribbon and fibers. I have my twine balled up in a wire basket (from Hobby Lobby). Specialty threads, ric rac and fibers are in floss boxes on the shelf. I have 2 other systems for my ribbon storage - Artbin boxes and Cropper Hopper embellishment cases.
12 - Here are the Artbin boxes. I use these for non-spooled ribbon that are wider than 3/8" (the max width that the CH system will take). I use ribbon cards from Magistical Memories, which come in varying widths. I secure it with a small pin. I also put my ribbon in here that's already nicely secured on cards in sets. No use tossing out what alread

Please, accept this in the vein in which it is intended (absolutely NO criticism in any way, shape or form), but do you TRULY expect to be able to use a fraction of those supplies in your lifetime? Or, do you plan for your supplies to be a part of your legacgy to your children/grandchildren/great grandchildren?
The room is absolutely gorgeous and looks very user friendly. The changes are beautiful as well as functional.

omg....I'm just in awe!! First of all, your scrap room is visually beautiful with all the furniture peices, color pallette, etc. Secondly, I love how you've grouped all your similiar items alike and obviously have a well thought out storage system based on use. Thirdly, my god, you are my anal retentive QUEEN!! I love how you've labled EVERYTHING into a usage index!! lol...in my wildest dreams I'd do something like this too. How long did this take you to do? I'm still in the sorting and put everything alike together and still not sure how many drawers, etc I need for all that I possess. lol...ignore the previous poster. We all have this much stash! you're not the only one. If I had your room, I'd seriously never leave. Thank you so much for taking such detailed pictures and writing such detailed descriptions.

I've just browsed through all three of your posts and have to say this is the one of the most beautiful and definitely the most organized room I've ever seen. I love to peek at others' rooms so I always check out those posts. You've obviously made a huge investment in your room, supplies, and time, and you are are a great decorator. Just curious, are you a professional scrapper? I had the same thought as critique-gal, do you really use all this stuff? If so, I envy you. I have quite a bit of stuff myself (but way less than a tenth of what you have) and find myself gettiing discouraged because I know I'll never ever be able to use it all up in my lifetime and I wonder if I made a good investment. I wish I had 10x more time! P. S. I love your deck and your view! Thanks for sharing with us.

Like others said---1) It's visually beautiful. 2)it's so organized 3)It's more organized than we thought.
Do you stand all the time to scrap? Do you ever have people over? Do you ever go out to scrap? If so, do you have the pages planned out in complete detail? (I'm wondering becuase I now have a scrap room, and I love to go out to be with friends, but I hate to go out becuase of the obvious PITA) I'd LOVE to see some of your work!!!
Thanks so much for sharing!! I love it and have looked over all three 'parts' twice already. I know I'll be back

You really need to send the links to all three parts in to a couple of magazines, I'm sure they'd want to feature your space.

Wow, Stacy! I also want to say "thank you" for your detailed pictures and description. The time that you invested in sharing your space with everyone is evidence of your willingness to share both your talents and obsessions. I, myself, am a little obsessive compulsive about my scrap supplies and organizing them. I (like you) enjoy clean lines, less clutter and organization, which is a challenge with scrapbook supplies! I am about to turn an upstairs gameroom into my scrapbook studio/office and your room has truly inspired me (THANKS!). I have just as much stuff as you do, but I very rarely ever pay full price for anything and I got the distinct impression that you are the same. But, because you are so organized and can find anything at a moment's notice, I am sure that you will indeed use all your stuff. And if you don't... who cares?! My motto is the "One who dies with the most scrapbook supplie...WINS!" So, I just want to let you know that at this time you must be in the lead, but I am not far behind you (wink, wink) and will keep you posted on my progress! LOL! Have a blessed day and enjoy your space!

Wow! Very impressive. You obviously have spent a lot of time organizing your space and it paid off. You have enough stuff to open your own LSS.
Let's see, I used to live in Texas, so maybe a trip to New Braunfels would be fun! LoL!
Congratulations, girl. You've got it goin' on.
